Polyphasic Panda – Sleep Diary: Day 12: The Final Snooze.
Well, although I had intended to conduct this experiment for the full 30 days, there were some irreconcilable issues which has led to the termination of the project. I did enjoy it, and so I'll try to give a balanced view of what it was like, as well as what went wrong. I'd also like to say that the concept of polyphasic sleep is not a myth - it just doesn't seem to be as effective for some people as it is for others. Sadly, I'm one of those who just couldn't make it work, as some aspects of my life I was unwilling to negotiate on for the sake of keeping the schedule. Anyway... let's get to the details!

Polyphasic Panda – Sleep Diary: Days 9 & 10
Motivation: 6 – (Hanging in there, even though I'm a little disappointed with my ability to stay awake and work at night)
Attitude: 4 – (A bit of a grump lately due to the heat and difficult mornings)
Alertness: 6 – (During the day I'm at pre-polyphasic levels. During the night I'm still a zombie)
Wellbeing: 7 – (Eyes are a little dry and tired, joints ache slightly, but nothing major. However, the heat is melting my soul)
Inspiration: 8 – (Watching my husband programming, giving input and sharing ideas, is really putting me in the mood for a team-work oriented programming career – I never thought I'd say that!)
I'm starting to create a habit of screwing up every morning – something I was desperately trying to avoid. Although the 1-2 hour oversleeps aren't enough to push me back to monophasic (my naps are still restorative and in my daytime hours I'm quite alert), I find myself debating at 5am every morning whether or not I should just "give in for one night" and sleep off the narcoleptic symptoms.
